You don't need to own a Kindle to take advantage of these offers.
Amazon offers several free reading aps you can use to read these on your computer or other devices.

Most of these are only going to be free today. Check the price carefully before clicking to make sure it's still free. I've also noted some vintage titles that will be free indefinitely.

The Frugal Shopper (Penny's Pinchers)- short, pretty basic, does include some information on making homemade pet food. We've looked into that and found it not very frugal for our larger dogs, but making home-made treats for pets is doable and frugal. Of course, not having pets at all is even more frugal, unless you can turn your pets into a business.

The American Frugal Housewife- a classic. This vintage book is free indefinitely.

Saving with Menu Planning, title is self explanatory. If you need help developing this frugal skill, this short book might be useful to you.

Couponing for Busy People: this book has 22 positive reviews, and the only one star review isn't a complaint about the book but about an older price on the book. Here is one of the positive reviews:

Ever since seeing Extreme Couponing for the first time, the idea of couponing was intriguing. But it's crazy how much time those people spend to get those deals. I think couponing is great, but I don't want it to be a full time job. This book is perfect for people like me. It's not about how to use coupons to food hoard on a budget. It's about using coupons to get the items you would normally buy at a discount.

The book is essentially broken down into two sections. The first section teaches you how to actually find coupons and how to keep them organized. The book has some great ideas on how to stay organized without spending a ton of time. The second section teaches you how to match coupons with sales and how to coupon stack. It also has a great summary of the coupon policies of a large number stores - most of which have locations nationwide.

In short, this book is perfect for anyone who wants to coupon but doesn't want to make it a full time job.

Make More, Worry Less: Secrets from 18 Extraordinary People Who Created a Bigger Income and a Better Life, motivational tales, lots of positive reviews.

Preparing for the Fiscal Cliff- really short, and also short on useful ideas you haven't heard of before- however, does have some very thought provoking and specific information on why Americans are looking at a fiscal cliff beginning in January of 2013- it has to do with tax policies and so forth that have already been implemented and how they they will impact American families specifically. Worth considering.

The Thrifty Thought- from the blurb: "Leor Grebler explores ways that everyone can get more out of money, time, and life through a series of observations on common activities - grocery shopping, getting gas, buying expensive electronics, and more.

Enjoy 86 different vignettes and thoughts on how to gain time and quality out of life:"

Lombard Street : a description of the money market- a vintage title that will stay free indefinitely, written by Bagehot, the author of the classic "The English Constitution." This title of greater interest to those interested in economics and history.

How To Save Money On Groceries (Back To Basics: Recipes For the Savvy Shopper)- frugal recipes

Art of Money Getting Or, Golden Rules for Making Money- motivational reading by P.T. Barnum of Barnum and Bailey circuses. Vintage book that will be free for a while.

How To Save Money By Reducing Your Utility Bills (Reduce Bills and Save Money, No More High Bills!)

Our Farm of Four Acres and the Money we Made by it- charming and useful book by a small homesteader, vintage, so it will be free for a while.

Christmas Grand Plan: The Christmas Grand Plan is a complete printable Christmas Planner that will help you be on top of all the little things that make the holidays so special from Thanksgiving all the way through the New Year!
