Tax Tips

Listening to NewSon share the benefits of filing his taxes now that he was married made me realize that his gain was our loss.  Our now married daughter meant one less tax exemption for Husband and I.   Later in the evening while checking my email, I saw the weekly summary from The Dollar Stretcher.com.  Here I was reminded of some very helpful information regarding our income taxes. Perhaps this link will be of benefit to you, as well!

Husband and I were able to reduce the amount owed on our taxes this year by taking advantage of #8, which gave me a little more to put into  our "newer car" fund.

Oh, and if you are considering filing your taxes on line, check out this post by Kimc!

How about you?  Any tax tips?

Last year we had a child on December 28, 2010. That was quite the increase in the amount we received back. I didnt change anything and we got quite a return back this year. I personally do our own taxes and save everything all year. Turbo tax and their tax gps is the way to go in my book. I just posted an article the other day on taxes on my site.
