Vision Forum Sale Code!
Noticing an alert about a code to get 20% off all* Vision Forum products, I decided this would be a great time to share with you one of my favorite spiritual frugal products! As the foundation of my frugal life is to be the best steward possible of the resources God has blessed me with, the book, Idols Of The Heart, by Elyse Fitzpatrick has been an incredible asset. As I find success in living frugally so often based upon perspective, Idols Of The Heart, challenges me to carefully evaluate what I think I must have to be "happy." The friend who recommended this book to me did so with the caveat to be ready for "heart surgery." She was right! This book really challenges me to understand how often I make idols of things in my heart that ultimately do not satisfy.
Since I am in the mood for making recommendations, let me also share with you a wonderful book for moms of little ones. Loving the Little Years, by Rebecca Jankovic, is humorous and filled with every day wisdom. I can't wait to give it to my daughters! Even this new grandmother with only one child left at home gained insight on the mothering process.
Have you heard the news about Michelle Duggar being blessed with her 20th baby? If so and you would enjoy hearing some of her wonderful wisdom, then the DVD, Tea with Michelle Duggar might be of interest to you. I have had the opportunity to hear Mrs. Duggar speak and let me tell you that she is a gracious lady!
Of course I must again recommend Large Family Logistics by Kim Brenneman. The tips and step-by-step procedures on how to run a home make this book worth every penny. Although I love the title, this book is applicable to most any woman seeking to keep her home. It would be a great baby shower gift!
Are you aware that the West Ladies of Homestead Blessings fame have published a cookbook? If you too enjoyed the DVD series as I have, you will love Th e Homestead Blessings Cookbook. Some of the recipes from the DVD series are included, but there are many new ones! The Art of Herbs and The Art of Sewing are two of my favorite DVDS of The Homestead Blessings Collection.
Along with The Backyard Homestead and The Backyard Homestead Guide to Raising Animals, Vision Forum is also carrying, The City Homesteader: Self-Sufficiency in Small Spaces. This book has been specifically written for frugal and health conscious families. If you are looking for some additional information are living the self-sufficient life, check out the Chore-Time And Practical Living Made Fun Collection. Great material for homeschooling!
