Promised Pictures
Scanning through a few shots of the wedding, I remembered my promise to post a few pictures of the creative decorating ideas friends blessed us with. Remember those orange chairs I had been concerned about? Positioned in the back of the room, they were hardly noticeable after all the tables were decorated.
Daughter decided to serve cheesecake instead of the traditional wedding cake. Our dear friend used curtains she had on hand and threaded them onto thin trim. The trim was then carefully set on a line of pushpins stuck into the bulletin board-like wall. Borrowed linens graced the cake table with rounds of Styrofoam underneath. A talented young woman used cream roses from the dollar store and twisted them together to grace the candles. Friends decorated the cheesecakes baked earlier and frozen with fresh flowers and chocolate. The picture of Daughter in her wedding dress was blown up to look like a painting and then placed in this borrowed fancy frame.
New Son and Daughter are signing their Covenant of Marriage before artificial trees loaned to us. White lights on each tree made them sparkle. (The trees that is. New Son and Daughter needed no lights. Their sparkle was a natural one.)
Wonderful memories of a special day!

Breath-taking! WordPress says that comment is too short, so I’ll say it again.

Everything looks lovely! The little things make a lot of difference in a wedding, and I’m sure that the cheese cake was very appreciated
