Weekend links
Best New Article this week:
- Top Personal Finance Blogs by Money Crashers - I'm really excited about this list, and it's not only because Frugal Hacks is comfortably in the Top 100. I've been wondering just who the competition/compadres are in our niche and how to identify them. This list will help, not to mention all the new reading opportunities. Time to revise my reading list!
New on the Frugal Blogroll
- Easy Frugal Living - I share all kinds of ways to learn to live well on less. Check out the index of 5 of my popular money saving posts.
- Froogalers - Froogalers brings together multiple ideas from frugal bloggers all over the internet that help you save money. Froogalers also helps you save through their online coupons. This way, you get great advice on personal finance, plus real online coupons to help you save on your online purchases.
- Military Wives Saving - I blog about ways my fellow military spouses can save money and live frugally by using coupons and getting free samples! I also offer lots of financial advice, too!

Good reads around the web
- 10 Ways to (re)Use Shopping Bags - This list barely scratches the surface. I'm just glad I'm not the only one who double bags the groceries just to bring more bags home. It seems like we never have enough!
- What Does an Allowance Pay For? - I totally disagree with the author's answer, but I love that he addresses the subject. We're planning to give our older children an allowance for their clothes, shoes, personal hygiene products, etc. It will be fun to see if they budget well and spend carefully or wind up using their own personal spending money on those items.
- Homemade Christmas Gifts - This list is going to come in very handy this year. I wish somebody would make silhouettes of my children for me. I wonder if any of my talented daughters will read this...?
- Seven tasty ways to stop wasting food — Smart advice here, and some of it is new to this experienced mom. Saute pasta to revive the flavor? Why have I never tried that?

Oh, sauté is amazing… yum! If you have naked pasta, then you can sprinkle the crunchied noodles with cinnamon sugar, delicious…
but garlicy or cheesy or spicy noodles are also so yum when sautéed!
