We’ve actually done this for years. I just used my $300 rewards to pay for curriculum for next year.

The same principle will work with buying on no money down no payment/interest for X days/months …open an account make payments to yourself monthly… just before the due date pay the account off and keep the interest for yourself. We also do the same with our mortgage escrow account. The longer you have the money in your savings account, the more interest you get to keep. It does require being disciplined, but it shouldn’t be hard to figure what you need to put in savings each month and then you make the interest instead of the mortgage company.
