Frugal quote
I found a little gem of a blog called smallnotebook.org , thanks again to the Pear Budget Blog, the first post I read was entitled "Breaking the Frugal Rules" there is a time and a place for 30 days of nothing but it's not all the time. We have tried it ourselves but does frugal mean living that way all the time?
Here is a gem of a quote from smallnotebook.org:
I used to think being frugal was spending as little money as possible — but that’s just being cheap. Now I know frugal is being wise with your purchases and spending money carefully to receive the most value.
Do you agree with this?
How would you define frugal?

I totally believe that being frugal is using your money wisely, so that it will be available for the things you want. My daughter always wanted to know why I wouldn’t buy her nailpolish, but would send her away to camp. I told her that I used my money on things I thought were worth it. Camp was worth it, nailpolish was not.

Frugality may not always mean spending less money. Let me give you an example. 15 years ago I spent $100 on a pair of shoes. Before you keel over, think 15 years ago. I have since resoled them twice at a cost of $40 per time. Similar shoes sell for over $200 now, and don’t last as long as they are no longer made the same way. I wear the shoes at least 4 times a week.
Whatever way you look at it, I came out ahead based on my initial investment. Thats frugality.
