Holiday hack: save big on Christmas decorations at BB&B

From Isa:

To purchase free holiday decorations for the next year ... If you have a Bed Bath & Beyond store in your area try this: 1st step is to take advantage of a free "gift card" offer for transferring or submitting a new prescription to a pharmacy with this benefit (aka Safeway in my area). Swap the gift card for a Bed Bath & Beyond card and save it until December. 2nd step is to save all 20% off coupons from BB&Beyond during the year or wait for the 20% off your entire purchase that usually comes out in the newspaper in December.

Now here is the bargain of the century -- when Christmas/Hanukkah is over go to BB&Beyond. The markdowns will be 75%. I will base my example on $100 of retail price merchandise. After the holiday you now receive 75% off so your total is down to $25.00. You can use you 20% off coupons on EACH item and they don't care about the expiration date. For simplification. You purchase a $100 item, after markdown it's $25, after 20% off coupon it is $20.00. Now use your $25.00 gift card and the item is FREE plus you still have an extra $5.00 to spend. Ta da!

I like the idea, but how do you swap gift cards for one at another store?

Yes, I was thinking the same thing… how do you swap a gift card for another gift card to BB&B?
