I always make boring old green bean casserole for Thanksgiving - the Campbell's Soup way. It is yummy, and everyone loves and expects it at my Thanksgiving feast, but I think it's gettin' old! Thanks for a delicious sounding twist! I just revised my Thanksgiving menu!

Well, I think it's OK to use other toppings IF there is cheese IN the casserole. ;)

I love the nekkid casserole comment - too funny! And great ideas for toppings. I usually quit at cheese too, since everybody loves it and we always have 10 or 15# in the freezer.
I can't believe I never thought to put bacon in the green bean casserole. And Thanksgiving is just around the corner...

Sounds like some good ideas. You can also use mashed potatoes, bar-b-que sauce or tomatoe paste. Of course you always add your own dash of seasonings to them.
