Do It Yourself at Frugal Hacks
Hello Frugal Hacks readers! I'm Emily and I blog at Remodeling This Life. I was thrilled when Kim C. asked me if I would be interested in joining Frugal Hacks as a DIY contributor. I will be sharing DIY ideas with you all on Saturdays, from DIY decorating ideas, crafts, and home projects. I hope you'll give feedback on things you would like to see.
I blog about frugal living and I enjoy repurposing things very much. Instead of buying something new, I like to think outside the box and come with ideas for making do with what I have.
Today, I am going to share what I did in our bathroom for storage space when things were getting a bit out of control. We had a floor cabinet but it wasn't getting used to it's full potential because I have two little ones running around that would always empty it. I ended up just stashing everything up high on a dilapidated wicker shelf. Something needed to be done.
See what a mess it was?
I decided to repurpose that floor cabinet you see there into a wall cabinet. Cut off the legs and cut it in half and voila! A wall cabinet without having to buy something new.
I think it looks much better now and is more functional and much less cluttered.

Wow! That looks great!
I wonder, though, did you really do it yourself, or did you have to wait around for your husband to get to it? LOL!

LOL Karen, hubby did help me a bit with the saw but that was for the safety of my fingers. I did most of it.
