I tear pages out of catalogs and magazines of "looks" that I like, then hit the yard sales and try to figure out how to copy them for cheap. I did my whole dining room for about $300, including a new (to me) table and chairs, buffet, etc. I'm self-taught on sanding and staining, and then I'm willing to paint anything.

I also like library books. There are lots out there on how to redecorate for little or no money. I just rearranged my living room furniture, mostly to do some spring cleaning, but we ended up leaving it that way. It opens up the space! Also, you can have a second set of bed linens for summer than you do for winter. Change them halfway through the year for a whole new look.

What? No input? I need some help on this too!
Right now I'm getting ideas from one of my new books from Paperback Swap. I'm sure there are lots of titles on Home Decorating.
Clutter is our bogeyman in our small home, so I'm all ears if anyone has tips on organization!
For those who are interested I have started a series on Big Family in a Small Home over on my personal blog, <a href="http://inashoe.com>Life in a Shoe</a>. I've done 3 parts so far, with plans for several more.
