Reader hacks
- From Mom2TwoVikings : While looking for a kool-aid popsicle recipe I had lost (don't ask why the Vikings wants popsicles in the middle of a Michigan February! LOL), Google led me to the following site: http://www.thriftyfun.com
- From Matt: I've found a helpful tip for making purchasing decisions, though I'm sure it is probably starting to bother my wife. Whenever I'm faced with a purchase (and I'm talking more like long-term items like housewares than groceries here), I try to remember to ask myself "Is this the last [blank] I'll ever buy?" Read the rest of the post here.
- From Christy: Rolling ECBs @ CVS (getting lots of stuff for a few dollars or less), using coupons on sale items for best deal, signing up for freebies and samples (what I can't use I can make up a gift basket with or just give away), giving feedback to manufactors (sometimes means coupons for free items), checking out yard sales, and stockpiling (good deal on an item, stock up, and when I need it I already have it and don't have to pay full price). My favorite price is free!
- From Aubrey: Our blog is about frugal living and making smart financial choices. Tips and suggestions include how to save money on everyday and household expenses, creative frugal home decoration, knowing and being aware of your options, fast and frugal recipes, as well as saving on pet care in the long and short term, advice for parents on how to motivate their children to practice music to get the most out of music lesson costs (this is an ongoing series with new tips published periodically), and more.
- And I found this one myself, about how to turn the table on credit cards. I'm not recommending the idea, but it's certainly satisfying to see a plan to soak the credit card issuers for once.

Thanks for the “link love”! I’m flattered. Lately, nearly all my non-friend traffic has been from fellow Frugal Hacks blogroll members!
As for the “why?” of the popsicles, a sweet tooth overrides a cold and icky February any day! *wink*
