Cheerful Frugality Gives Thanks

Posted by: MerchantShips on Monday, November 19th, 2007

Cheerful frugality and the spirit of thankfulness go hand in hand.  Don't wait until Turkey Day to start compiling your list.  Kind words aren't something we need to stockpile, but share freely and often.

Take time every day to thank the people around you.  Not only will your own life seem richer, you'll enrich the days of those you meet.

I'd also like to say a special thanks to Kim C., the brain behind Frugal Hacks.  Even after frugal blogging for almost 3 years, I consistently learn new things, find new blogs, and discuss new perspectives here.  I am thankful for the chance to be a part of the conversation!

Meredith,
You’re very welcome, but I have to say that I feel extremely privileged to have your contributions on Frugal Hacks. You should have seen the happy dance I did when you said yes, and your grateful, humbled attitude floors me every time. We certainly benefit from you; I’m glad that you feel it’s mutual!

I’m thankful for the frugal moms here (and for Amy Dacyczyn!). Without the Tightwad Gazette I never would’ve been able to stretch our income enough to quit my job when Levi was born. And with y’all’s help it’s becoming more fun and even (dare I say it with four kids running around in their pajamas…still?) a little elegant. I feel like we have a much higher quality lifestyle than a lot of people we know who have two incomes. And that’s in large part due to y’all:)

This is a refreshing post. The world would be a much better place if everyone reflected daily on the things they are thankful for. Thank you for this post!
