We wanted to get some late-season variety apples, and our regular apple orchard was closed already -- so we went to the "big deal" orchard around here on Saturday. $4 per person admisssion to the "fun area" -- which was just scarecrows on display, a slide, big wheels to race, some tire swings, and a "petting zoo" where you couldn't pet the animals: you could just spend a quarter to buy food to feed them. They had pony rides : *another* four dollars! And a duck pond: a dollar a game! The apple prices were all right, but I'm pretty sure we won't be going back.

Well, around here its $10 for just the corn maze. We've been wanting to take our kids to one, but for $40 for the family, I could practically grow my own corn maze.
