I prefer having more of an "open" bookshelf so what I have done is to buy the video racks: for the VHS movies; absolutely perfect to put your paperbacks in esp tilted just enough to easily see the names, authors; & yet open enough to please me; not huge blocked areas of home; have 2 long shelfs above washer/dryer which I have stocked nicely with non paper back books; & have in past utilized the shelfs in closets for the same! this despite the fact that I give books away a lot (yikes!) much rather read that watch TV; so does my daughter & grandkids! happy reading! love to find avid readers!
