Frugal treats

Posted by: kimc on Thursday, October 11th, 2007

Whether or not you celebrate Halloween, this is a great time of year to score some frugal treats.

Please don't think that we eat fast food all the time, but McDonald's has their treat pack for sale now: get 12 treats for $1!  You can buy as many as you want.  Each pack contains coupons for the following free items:

Coupons are good 11/01/07-12/31/07 and can only be redeemed by children 12 and under.

And for $1 Wendy's has a book of coupons for 5 free  Jr. Frostys.  That's not quite as great a deal, but these have none of the restrictions of McD's coupons,  and all proceeds go directly to St. Jude Children's Hospital.  I bought more of these, since I can enjoy them too and the coupons are good through the end of next year!

The McDonald’s coupons sound great!

We walk right past one on our way to the library, and I like to let the kids play in the Playland for a few minutes.

But, I don’t always want to buy the food.

These sound like an economical treat for just those times.

Kim –

Where do we get the coupon packs? At McDonalds and Wendys or online somewhere?

Thanks,
Sallie

Sallie,
Just go to Wendy’s or McDonald’s and ask for them at the counter. I don’t know if they’re available at every location, but should be at most.
