Staying home more is a big one! When I was a new stay at home mom, I used to go shopping just to get out of the house, and I wasted so much money!
Now I try to have at least 3 days a week where I don’t go anywhere. When I pack all of my errands into one trip, it keeps the shopping stops short, and I only get what I need. It saves a lot of money on gas, too.

One thing that I find really helps is to make a shopping list, and then check my fridge, freezer and pantry before going out. I always cross off a lot of items that I already have on hand. That’s why a list is so important…it keeps you from buying things you already have!
And I love any excuse to stay at home, since I hate driving, LOL! So if I can put together dinner without leaving the house, I’m a happy camper.
