Lynnae blogs at Being Frugal.
Why do you blog?
I enjoy writing. I enjoy connecting to people in the blogosphere. And writing really helps me to slow down enough to process my thoughts and dreams.
What does “frugal” mean to you?
Being frugal to me is living within my means. It means making the best use of my resources, whether it be time, money, or anything else. (editor's note: check out Lynnae's post on What Does "Being Frugal" Mean to Me? for a more in-depth answer.)
Why be frugal?
I believe that God calls us to be good stewards of what we are given. Being frugal is doing just that.
Does frugal living come easily for you or is it a struggle?
Frugal living is mostly a struggle for me at this point. As with anything, I believe it will get easier with practice. I tend to want things right now, rather than waiting until I can find the best deal. I’m slowly getting better at it, though.
Is it ever possible to be too frugal? How about frugal enough?
I don’t think you can ever be too frugal, when you use the definition of frugality that I used above. You can never try too hard to make the best use of your resources, but sometimes making the best use of your time will trump making the best use of your money, and you will spend more money to save a little time. Sometimes making a memory with your family will be more important than saving the $60 an outing will cost you. It’s all about weighing the priorities in your life and living by those priorities.
Thank you for taking time to do this, Lynnae.
