Creative gifts

This month's issue of Family Fun shared an easy, inexpensive and unique gift idea for distant relatives: Dividers for a recipe box with photos.

  1. Just cut heavy cardstock into the correct shape. 5" x 3.5" with a small tab on the long side would be good.  Cut one for each category.  Common categories are appetizers; breads; beverages; main dish; vegetables; soup & salad; cookies & candies; cakes & pies; desserts.
  2. Cut out a cute photo for each divider.
  3. Glue the photo to the card.  Try adding fun captions, like "I'm not eating broccoli!" or "Can we have cake for breakfast?"
